How Does it Work?

The TreatmentLED is a relaxing, pain free experience. The individual may feel a slight tingling or warming sensation on the skin. Each treatment lasts for around 20 minutes and with no downtime, you can simply get up and glow!

What happens during my treatment?

On the day of your treatment, we will cleanse your face to remove any makeup and sunscreen using our cosmeceutical skincare range. We will then put on your eye shields, place you under the LED for 10-20 minutes and you are on your way to glowing skin.

What to expect after my treatment?

Immediately after the treatment most people feel relaxed and rejuvenated. Your skin may feel warm and may appear red due to the increased blood circulation in the treated area. This should return to normal within 1 to 2 hours. Following the treatment session you can return to normal activities immediately.

Are LED treatments safe?

Yes - Phototherapy (LED) has been used in medicine for decades. In the ’90s NASA used it to grow plants in space, increase the metabolism of human cells, accelerate wound healing, and reduce loss of bone and muscle in astronauts.

While LED phototherapy is generally considered safe, there are certain circumstances, medications and medical conditions in which it may be unsuitable. We prioritise the safety and well-being of our clients and provide an initial consultation with an accredited Dermal Therapist to ensure safety and suitability.

How many treatments will I need?
After you consult with one of our therapists, we will provide you with a customised treatment plan. We recommend an initial series of treatments over the first 1-2 months for optimum cell activation. Then 1-2 treatments/week to maintain. Dermalux® can also be used in combination with your regular skin treatments to upgrade and accelerate results. With a shift towards non-invasive treatments, LED Phototherapy offers a progressive alternative to more aggressive procedures which carry a higher risk of adverse response, discomfort and downtime.
